Each race is different and have different powers and abilities except for humans. Here's a list by Wikipedia:

Darkligthers

Powers
Darklighters can teleport from place to place by orbing, as Whitelighters can, but their orb effects are black in color.[1] Their ability is called black orbing.[4] They also come equipped with crossbows, which they can summon into their hands at any time.[5] The Darklighter crossbow arrows are coated with a special type of poison that is especially lethal to Whitelighters.[1] Some Darklighters also possess the touch of death, a power triggered by hate and focused through their hands that allows the user to burn someone to death - in contrast to a Whitelighter's ability to heal others.[1] Similar to Whitelighters, Darklighters also possess the ability to sense another magical being's presence through a magical form of telepathy.[1] Hence they can locate a Whitelighter anywhere on the globe by merely concentrating.

Goals
The Primary goal of all Darklighters is to kill Whitelighters in order to make witches more vulnerable to an evil attack. In addition, Darklighters often work as hired guns or mercenaries to higher level Demons and Powers. They generally work with Warlocks or demons to accomplish their goals.

Types of Darklighters
Besides the standard "assassin" type of Darklighter, who strive to kill current Whitelighters to leave their charges vulnerable or to kill future Whitelighters before they can earn their wings, there are three other known types of Darklighters:

One type of Darklighter spreads evil through procreation, by seducing innocent mortal women and tricking them into bearing their progeny. It's against the rules to tell these women about who they truly are, so it is presumed that the women are abandoned once a child is produced.[1] See: Incubus
Another type of Darklighter mentioned on the show is known as the 'Spirit Killer', a special type of Darklighters that drives future Whitelighters to suicide, automatically disqualifying the person from becoming a Whitelighter. They curse these Whitelighters-to-be with bad luck, following the victim around, invisible to everyone, including the victim. As the bad luck escalates and drives all thoughts of happiness from the victim's mind, the Darklighter is there every step of the way, whispering hopeless thoughts into the victim's ears. Once the victim is thoroughly depressed beyond recovery, the Darklighter changes his whispered words to encourage them to commit suicide.[6]
A third type of Darklighter is called a Tracker. A Tracker is a Darklighter that goes after Whitelighters who are about to lose their wings. Their orbing is more of a spiral than the particle of other Darklighters, and they are considered to be much more powerful than a regular Darklighter. They are rogue Darklighters who often only answer to themselves. They distinguish themselves from other types of Darklighters by wearing tribal tattoos on their face. Only one Tracker Darklighter, Ronan, has been shown, who the then god-like Cole imbued with additional powers in order to destroy the Charmed One Paige.[2]

Spells
To Summon a Darklighter: Chant the words: Ixo Mende Layto Sempar

Vanquish
Darklighters are not invulnerable and are thus open to many ways of being vanquished. Previous methods used were potions, athames, energy balls and witch powers such as molecular combustion. Darklighters also appear to be susceptible to their own Darklighter arrows. However, some Darklighters are shown to be able to survive one of their own arrows.

Significant Darklighters
Alec - The first Darklighter seen on the show. Alec fell in love with a mortal woman, who he was assigned to impregnate. He also possessed the touch of death.[1] He was killed by Prue who switched powers with him and killed him with his own touch of death.
Spirit Killer - The second darklighter seen on the show. He tried to make Maggie Murphy kill herself by cursing her with bad luck and giving telepathic voices, but he was stopped by Prue and then by Leo. He tried to force Prue to kill herself but was stopped when Leo was given his powers back and he orbed him to parts unknown.
Kane - The Darklighter leader.[7]
Damien - Damien was a Darklighter who was sent by Gideon to kill Leo Wyatt.[8] He was vanquished by his leader with a poison arrow in order to stop him from revelaing that Gideon sent him.
Ronan - A Tracker Darklighter blessed by Cole with additional powers.[2] He was used by Cole in an attempt to get the Charmed Ones to vanquish him then vanquished by Cole with an energy ball.
The evil counterpart of Leo Wyatt in an alternate universe is a Darklighter instead of a Whitelighter. Paige Matthews, Chris Halliwell and Wyatt Halliwell also have evil counterparts in the same alternate universe who are half-Darklighters as opposed to half-Whitelighters. [4]
Salek - Upper level member shown to have trained new Darklighters.[3] He was blown up by Piper after mortally wounding Paige and killing her charge. Paige's charge became a Whitelighter anyway and saved Paige with her new healing power.
Eames - Technically not a Darklighter he was a Warlock. In order to decimate all Whitelighters he took these 3 powers which he specifically hunted down from witches Cloning, Transmografication, and Deflection. Then in a battle with The Charmed Ones he summoned a Darklighter, killed him, and took his powers and crossbow. He finally killed Leo's friend Natalie who was also a Whitelighter and took her powers he was finally able to orb "up there" and took his plan into action but before he could kill even a single Whitelighter he was hit with one of his arrows which because of his Whitelighter powers he was weak against the poison but before the arrow could kill him he was vanquished by Prue, Piper, and Phoebe. Whiteligthers
Description
Whitelighters are the "guardian angels" of witches and other whitelighters. Mortal charges are not seen to have much interaction with their whitelighters. They watch over their charges and intervene when necessary to help them along their path and keep them safe; they can also be called by their charges. They can constantly hear the lives of their charges in their heads,[1] and if one of them calls their Whitelighter's name, he/she can usually show up at a moment's notice.

Whitelighters are people who were previously somehow connected to the magical world or who were generally good people that had died.[2] They are given the choice to become Whitelighters and given the powers of a Whitelighter (such as orbing, healing, immortality, glamouring etc.) instead of moving on to the afterlife. Their bodies are replicas of their former human bodies, but are composed of orbs which are described as white lights (hence the term Whitelighter) that have a healing sense to them. If struck by a power that would usually kill a mortal (for example, an energy ball or particle acceleration), their bodies will explode into orbs then reform relatively unharmed; they can, however, be knocked unconscious.

There is a seeming difference in those who have whitelighter blood in them as opposed to those who were made whitelighters, specifically among hybrids. Many hybrids on the show do not receive knowledge of their charges for some time, and many more are not shown to have any (such as Wyatt Halliwell). Rather, the powers of a whitelighter more or less dignify their heritage.

Powers
Whitelighters have the ability to orb, a kind of magical teleportation. This comes in handy for visiting their many charges around the world, and in special circumstances (as Leo Wyatt states in Season 2 that it is "against the rules") to orb others with them. They can also orb objects around. Orbing is not an exact science and can be disrupted by magic, sending someone to a place they did not intend to go. Whitelighters can use their ability to sense the people they are trying to find before going anywhere. Additionally, Whitelighters have the power to generate orbs of light. This was demonstrated by Natalie [3] and Leo altered to appear as Belthazor.

Whitelighters are the messengers between the Elders and witches. Leo helps the Charmed Ones by asking the Elders for help whenever they need information not provided by the Book of Shadows.

Healing is another special ability granted to Whitelighters, and is used when their charges have been injured. As long as there is the faintest breath of life left in a person, they can be healed from any injury, whether the injury is magical in origin or not, though they cannot heal self-inflicted damage. A Whitelighter's healing abilitiy is triggered by the emotion of love.[2]

Whitelighters are normally not allowed to have relationships with witches as it is deemed to be too complicated and dangerous by the Elders. There are several half-Whitelighters due to this rule being broken or lifted in special circumstances by the Elders. The four known half-Whitelighters (three in the Halliwell family) are Paige Matthews, Wyatt Halliwell, Chris Halliwell and Sir Simon Marks.[4] All four display most of the abilities of Whitelighters. Wyatt is able to heal, Chris cannot, and Paige apparently can channel Leo's power; during the 8th season, she gains the healing ability for herself. Sir Simon, on the other hand, is a mystery; little is known about him. What is known is that he has the ability to orb himself and he can orb objects with his mind. Whether or not he possesses the ability to heal is unknown.

Because they are pacifists,[5] Whitelighters traditionally avoid fighting, except when desperately needed to protect their charges, but are absolutely not allowed to kill. Leo tries to force Chris into a hearing with the Elders after he suspects (correctly) that Chris killed two warriors in Valhalla, and Leo himself brings balance back into the world of magic by doing a "Great Evil" in killing Gideon.[6]

Among the other powers of Whitelighters are levitation,[7] invisibility, and "cloaking" their charges (making others unable to sense them).[2] Whitelighters can also empathically feel what their charges feel (which, if not controlled, can actually hurt them), knowing if they are hurt or have been killed. White lighters can also summon/create orbs of light. They also have the ability to speak the language of their charges, whatever it may be, and their own sort of glossolalia.[1] Leo is also seen "healing" household appliances, light bulbs, and pipes, and making Phoebe's tea hot again and refilling her water. In one episode during the first season where we first realize that Leo has powers, but not that he is a Whitelighter, we see him "heal" the Charmed Ones' Book of Shadows, which had been erased after the Charmed Ones used the spell to relinquish their powers to a Warlock, thus rewriting the entire book and giving back the sisters' powers.[8] Whitelighters also have their own language, which sounds to human ears like a series of clicks and clacks but to them sounds like words.[3] Whitelighters have also displayed the ability to "orb into anyone" which allows them to take the physical form of others.[9] Many tend to confuse this with Glamouring. Glamouring casts an illusion around the being, making it look like another, while orbing into another actually transforms the being into another. Paige has this ability.[10] While Phoebe and Piper Halliwell have been shown to glamour both themselves and others(in the 7th season finally and at the beginning of the 8th season)), leading us to believe that this is a Whitelighter-exclusive power. Whitelighters also appear to have the ability to mimic certain demonic powers such as energy-balls as Leo Wyatt does when he glamours into the demon Belthazor to train the sisters and as Natalie does while training the sisters to kill a powerful warlock named Eames.[3] Natalie is a fellow Whitelighter and longtime friend of Leo Wyatt during both their Whitelighter years and human years when they fought together in World War II. Elders, whose powers seem to be stronger versions of Whitelighter powers, can throw lightning bolts.[6] Lightning bolts are only used in extreme circumstances such as Leo Wyatt uses when he commits a great evil to restore the balance of good and evil in the two mirroring worlds by killing the Elder Gideon when he tries to kill Leo's son Wyatt. The Elders use them when they try to kill Leo after they view him as a threat after he discloses to them that he is an Avatar.[11]

Whitelighters can pass some, and perhaps in some cases, all, of these abilities on to their offspring. Chris and Paige are able to orb and sense others, channel the ability to heal through another Whitelighter, heal on their own, and speak any language other than their own. Chris cannot levitate, though Paige can. They are, however, still very vulnerable to Darklighter arrows.[12] Paige heals Henry without channeling a Whitelighter's power during an emotional scene that unlocks her power (this could be the natural evolution of her witch powers that the Charmed Ones all have). Until that time, it was thought that half-Whitelighters can not heal, but now it is possible that Chris will eventually gain the healing ability.

Whitelighters have shown a wide range of powers, sometimes appearing when they are convenient and then never appearing again. When Leo explains his powers to Phoebe, he states that they can do whatever their charges need them to do. It is possible, for this reason, that they can only perform certain magics when it benefits their charges, but are otherwise powerless (with the exeception of orbing, healing, and hovering).

Hybrid
The first Whitelighter hybrid ever to appear on Charmed is Paige Matthews.[13] She is the first born Whitelighter and witch. She possesses both the powers of a Whitelighter, which range from orbing to healing, and also witch abilities, such as spellcasting and potion making. It is unknown if she or any of the other Whitelighter hybrids have the power to mimic demonic powers as regular Whitelighters do. Because Paige is of Warren blood and a Charmed One, she also possesses one of the three powers belonging to Melinda Warren. However, since she is also a Whitelighter, her telekinesis became telekinetic-orbing, which is the ability to call for an object and orb it to you. Many more generations of this hybrid will continue in the future.

List of Hybrids:

Paige Matthews
Wyatt Halliwell
Chris Halliwell
Simon Marx (unrelated to the Halliwells, their families worked together during the Salem Witch Trials)[4]
Matthew Halliwell (grandson of Piper Halliwell and Leo Wyatt)[14]
Henry Jr. (Paige's son)[15]
Twins (Paige's twin daughters)[15]
Note that it is never stated whether Prudence Melinda Halliwell, the third child and only daughter of Piper and Leo, would be a Whitelighter hybrid or not. Leo had became mortal before her conception, so this suggests that he cannot pass any Whitelighter powers onto her, although this is neither denied nor confirmed in the series.

PostSubject: Avatars   Charmed RPG templates Icon_minitimeWed 18 Jun 2008, 9:38 pm

AvatarsAvatars are an ancient group of magical beings who can bend the very fabric of time. Their power is often described as the ability to manipulate time and space. Unlike witches, warlocks, demons, Whitelighters, Elders, and other forms of magical beings, their power is said to be nearly unlimited and completely unconstrained by good or evil. Thus, Avatars are not categorized as good or evil, but neutral. Their desire is to shape the world to their own design making it a perfect world and will do anything in order to keep Utopia safe and without violence. This includes taking away free will as Leo noticed.[1] Avatars exist outside of time and space.

At one point in time, Avatars ruled over the entire world, but eventually the magical community started to revolt and created a very powerful potion with which to destroy them. Unlike most magical creatures in the Charmed universe, Avatars are magically connected to each other. If one member of the collective dies, it affects all Avatars, making them weaker and less powerful both individually and as a group as demonstrated when the Avatar Beta was killed by Kyle Brody with a potion.[2] This had similarly been applied to the Charmed Ones[3] and later to the Triad.[4]

In Charmed, the Avatars are depicted as a peaceful, yet powerful collective whose sole purpose is to create their version of Utopia, by putting all humans to sleep temporarily and ridding the earth of all demons/evil beings during the slumber. The Avatars promise that upon awakening, the war between good and evil will be over and the sisters can lead normal lives. However, the promise of Utopia comes with a very high price: if any person creates 'conflict', that person will be removed from existence by the Avatars, taking away Free Will.[1]

The Avatars made their first appearance in Season 5, when they came to Cole Turner and asked him to join their ranks.[5] Cole at first rejected their offer. Even as powerful as Cole was, his energy ball had absolutely no effect on them.

In a later episode, Cole realized the unlimited powers being an Avatar would provide him. He agreed to the opportunity and became an Avatar, and used his new power to change the past for personal gain.[6] He altered reality in desire that Phoebe would love him and they could be together forever. Unfortunately, he wasn't invincible in the altered world that resulted, as he was returned to his past form, that of the powerful demon known as Belthazor. The Avatars warned him, and asked him to stop. Cole ignored them, which led to his ultimate downfall.[6]

During Season 7, Leo became an Avatar in desperation, wishing to use the powers to bring Piper & Phoebe back from the dead. But not long after, Leo began raising high faith for the Avatars, seeking to create a better world. Before that, Avatars had sought help from the Halliwell sisters. Having long desired a normal life, the sisters agreed to go along with the Avatars' plans. Utopia was then created, a new world order under the watch of the Avatars.[2]

Afterwards, Leo checks with the sisters to see if Utopia has met its promises. However, Leo witnesses that the Avatars are maintaining Utopia in an unexpected manner. They are simply removing anyone who creates conflict from existence.[1] Alpha, the representative of the Avatars, explained that they had modified the way people think, so as to allow people to more easily accept Utopia. Unfortunately some people were beyond hope, and their inner demons began to surface, driving them to cause conflict. This in turn drove the Avatars to deal with the resulting chaos to protect Utopia. Leo asked if they were killing people, but as they said, they simply removed them, vanquishing the one for the sake of the many. They had the obligation to maintain the world they had created, and they wouldn't let anything threaten that.[1]

However, Zankou showed Leo the way to shock the sisters, as they can't feel pain, grief, and mourning. Leo sacrificed himself to the Avatars, creating conflict by battling demons at the party held in the manor. Phoebe realized Leo's dying warning as her power of premonition reminded her of all the losses they'd faced. And from here, she helps Piper remember her loss of Leo, and Paige's loss of Kyle.[1] The sisters meet Zankou and learn of the making of the potions. Zankou found an ancient Egyptian Tomb, with all the drawings showing their history with the Avatars. Anubis, the Egyptian god of rebirth, said "There is a price to pay for Utopia".

Phoebe stated, "But at least with good and evil, people knew what they were dying for". The Avatars then promised to rewind the world to as it was before Utopia was created, and said they would retreat until another time, where the people are ready to accept Utopia.[1]

In a season 8 episode, an Avatar made a brief appearance when Piper called her and an Elder.[7] She demanded an explanation as to why the Angel of Death wanted to take Leo away. The Avatar and Elder didn't have the authority to answer her question. But they give Piper the information of a higher power who looks over the Grand Design, the Angel of Destiny.

PostSubject: Elders   Charmed RPG templates Icon_minitimeWed 18 Jun 2008, 9:39 pm

Elders

The Elders are a fictional group of people who oversee good magic. Originally, they were referred to as "The Founders",[1] but all subsequent episodes use the term "Elders".

Elders mainly keep track of witches, watching from the Heavens. They communicate with those on Earth through their helpers and messengers, the Whitelighters. The Elders decide who may become a Whitelighter, and give and take their powers. A Whitelighter's ability to heal is channeled directly from the Elders.

It appears that most of the Elders were Whitelighters themselves at one time. Though some were probably witches because Kevin, a teenage witch, was promoted as an Elder. Leo Wyatt is promoted to the rank of Elder after saving the Charmed Ones and the remaining Elders from the wrath of the Titans.[2][3]

Though Whitelighters are not allowed to kill, the Elders have powerful fighting abilities. For the most part, the Elders' powers are only shown on screen when Leo is promoted to the rank of Elder. Leo is seen using a lightning-like power to kill Gideon.[4] In one episode, three Elders are shown to kill Phoebe and Paige with magical flames, although this occurs in a magic-induced hallucination and does not indicate their actual abilities.[5]

When witches need advice on demons they know nothing about, they can ask the Elders by sending their Whitelighter. The Elders are not all knowing, however; in some cases, they know no more than the sisters do. In one episode, Leo had to find out who the Four Horsemen were and what they were up to, because the Elders could not help.[6] The Elders do not allow witches or any other magical being besides themselves and Whitelighters to enter the Heavens.[7][8] Even the Charmed Ones do not have this privilege, as Piper and Leo have to ask for an audience when they seek permission to have a relationship (though this rule is trumped by Piper's god status), and Leo specifically tells Piper she is not allowed there when she comes to see him.[2] The Elders do, however, allow Leo to watch over his son Wyatt and to take him to be with the Elders when he may be in danger.

As the show progresses, Paige begins using her Whitelighter side, and is able to converse with the Elders as she pleases. Though she does not go to the Heavens like the other Elders or Whitelighters do, they meet at the Golden Gate Bridge and she speaks with Sandra, one of the few female Elders.

Very few Elders ever come to Earth. Leo and Gideon are rare examples who spend most of their time outside the Heavens. A few come to Earth to speak directly about important issues, like Gideon's intentions to kill Wyatt and the possible threat of the Avatars. The Elder Sandra comes to speak to Piper about Leo during the last season. Overall, as a group, the Elders prefer to take a background role and remain largely unseen in the day-to-day affairs of even the magical world.

Thousands of years before the present, the Titans once ruled the world, but were abusive of their powers. Seeking to entomb them, the Elders of that time created the Greek gods by infusing mortals with a mystical power beyond their own. Ironically, the self-declared Gods of Mount Olympus would later force the world to worship them too for many years.[2]

Witch
Shadow Projection: the ability to manipulate shadows and bind them to different shapes

Projection: This is no doubt one of the most powerful witch abilities in the Charmed universe. It can project the thoughts of the witch who uses it into reality much like reality warping. It is also very difficult to control and master. Billie jenkins owns that power.

Telekinesis: It is the power to move material objects with one's mind. In its weaker state one has to use material components (aka hands) to activate it, with more practice only vision is nessecary. Prue owned that power and Paige had another version of it: Orbing telekinesis which was much the same with a teleporting feel to it. In an episode where the sisters travelled to their future selves, Prue was able to blast the entire attic with one swing of her hand. The emotion which activated it was anger.

Temporal Stasis: Piper's power at the beggining of the series. She is able to entirely stop the movement the molecules of an object actually "freezing" it. In the forementioned episode, she was able to freeze an entire block. With more practice she was able to freeze only a part of the affected body. The emotion which activates this power is fear.

Premonition: Essentially psychometry. When touching an object Phoebe can feel something that happened or will happen around or with that object. Later only by entering a room, she could get a premonition. Also in the beggining, her power was activated unintentionally but later she gained some control over it. A very precious power.

These are just powers no history is available.
